Pen Boxes for Displays

I've decided that beautiful pens in exotic woods deserve a fitting display case. So I'm off to the shop to design and build several glass-topped pen cases out of some of the same amazing woods that I turn into pens. I'm thinking of a segmented (confetti)design for the top, with box joints on the corners of the case. Then some black velvet lining the inside.

Case #3 : Confetti Top in Cocobolo Rosewood! Kinda art deco to catch the eye and show off some of the many woods used:

    I now have 2 cases almost done, I'll post some pics. 2 more on the way. They are all about 6x7 inches, room for 5 pens. One in cherry burl, another in black walnut, a third in maple burl, and a fourth in cocobolo.
